What to Look Forward to at Manifest Arts Festival 2025

Manifest Arts Festival is an annual celebration of the work of Columbia College Chicago creatives. The event is organized by students and features student work from every program at the college. This year’s theme “IMAGINE” gives artists and attendees alike the chance to dream big and create what they never thought possible.
Here is everything attendees need to know to get the best experience at Manifest.
When and where is Manifest?
The festival runs May 15 and 16 and events are held across Columbia’s campus.
A few celebratory events and showcases kick off on Thursday evening, with the full festival celebration beginning midday Friday, May 16.
The festival kicks off at 1 p.m. in the lot at 722 S. Wabash, next door to Columbia College Chicago’s Student Center. The Mainstage event will feature speakers and a performance by URI, winner of this year’s Manifest Song Contest, performing "Be You."
Who can attend Manifest?
Students, faculty, staff, and the public need to register to attend Manifest. Registration can be done in advance or on the day of attendance.
There are two ways to register for the festival. Attendees can register online or download the Engage Columbia app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
On the day of the festival, participants will show proof of registration, and an ID to be issued a wristband that will allow access to explore the festival.
What should I do at Manifest?
With so much happening, it’s impossible to see everything—so make a plan! After registering, attendees will have access to the full list of events. Plan for what is most important to see and plan the day.
The Engage Columbia app has the full list of events with locations, timing, and registration
Some events fill up fast and will require additional advance registration to secure a spot.
Examples of the kinds of attractions at the festival include:
- Live music
- Gallery exhibitions
- Theatre performances
- Dance concerts
- Film screenings
- Fashion shows
Who is headlining Manifest?
Every year up-and-coming artists close out the night by headlining Manifest Arts Festival. Previous acts include Chance the Rapper, Ella Mai, Dreamer Isioma, and Lupe Fiasco. This year’s festival will end with a performance by Friday Pilots. The Chicago-based group is punctuating their North American “Circa Waves” tour with their performance at Manifest.
Opening for Friday Pilots is the winner of the 19th annual Biggest Mouth, Seoul Drift. Seoul Drift is a band made up of Columbia students.
