Creative Writing Reading Series: Alumni Reading

The Spring 2018 Reading Series continues with a night of readings from recent alumni from Columbia's Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry MFA programs.

“This series brings together writers exploring connections between literature and larger cultural issues. Each one is engaging these cultural conversations—whether it be identity or race—through fiction, nonfiction, and poetry that doesn’t feel inward-looking, inaccessible, or purely academic.”

—English and Creative Writing Professor Joe Meno

The third installment of Columbia’s Spring 2018 Reading Series Monday, March 26 will feature readings by recent alumni from Columbia’s Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry MFA programs.

These alumni will engage with larger cultural issues at hand through their work, examining the intersection of the personal and the political in their respective genres.

Launched in 2015, Columbia’s Creative Writing Reading Series aims to curate critically engaged contemporary works that “challenge traditional discourse and embrace culturally relevant, diverse voices.”
