“Everyday I’m Hustlin’: Artists Talk About Money” Panel Discussion

The Photography Department will host a panel discussion on the various ways artists can support themselves financially while pursuing their creative practice.

The Photography Department will host a panel discussion with photographers and artists Jess T. Dugan MFA ’14, Clarissa Bonet MFA ’12, Kevin Miyazaki, and Rafael Soldi Wedneseday, December 5. The panelists will discuss the various ways they support themselves financially while pursuing their careers in the field, including how they identified income sources that aligned with their fine art practice and how they navigate using jobs and paid assignments as a springboard for more personal work. The panelists will also address industry-specific, real-world details such as negotiating lecture fees, gallery commissions, day rats, licensing fees, and more.
