Lecture in Photography: Lucas Foglia

Photographer Lucas Foglia, whose exhibition "Human Nature" is on display at the Museum of Contemporary Photography through September 30, to lead a Lecture in Photography.

Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP) exhibiting artist Lucas Foglia will discuss his current exhibition Human Nature and his artistic process Tuesday, September 25.

Foglia’s Human Nature was a six-year investigation into how nature and humans interact with each other. His work captures human’s inherent connection with the earth through photographs that display exploration, a human’s need to embed nature in human-made environments, and our relationship to climate change. Ultimately, Foglia’s images “invite us to ponder our inherently animal nature, and to understand our fundamental connection to the earth for health and happiness.”

Fogila’s work is housed in the permanent collections of the Denver Art Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the San Francisco Museum of Art, among many others.

Human Nature is on display through September 30 at the MoCP.
