Meet the Artist with Cory Henry

Music Department Artist-in-Residence Cory Henry will discuss his work and career with students March 5. “Henry's arrangements masterfully bend the air and the percussive and harmonic qualities of the instrument in beautiful and eye-opening ways.”

Grammy Award-winning keyboardist, producer, and Music Department Artist-in-Residence Cory Henry will reflect on his career in a "Meet the Artist" session on March 5.

Henry rose to fame for his involvement with Brooklyn-based jazz-infusion band Snarky Puppy, a three-time Grammy Award-winning group. He has also toured with Bruce Springsteen, P. Diddy, The Roots, and more. His solo work includes the albums Gotcha Now Doc and First Steps, in addition to a live album, The Revival. The latter two topped Billboard’s Top Jazz Albums listing.

As the Music Department’s Artist-in-Residence, Henry will spend a week at Columbia, during which he will lead rehearsals, master classes, and intensive workshops with student musicians and ensembles.
