Two Cinema and Television Arts Faculty Members Featured in International Screenwriter’s Association “Third Thursdays”

Celebrated screenwriter and Cinema and Television Arts faculty member Grant Robbin will be the special guest at the September 2018 iteration of the International Screenwriter’s Association’s “Third Thursdays” event series, hosted at The Galway Arms restaurant and pub on Thursday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. Robbin will present a craft lecture titled “Secrets of Screenwriting,” highlighting little-known but important aspects of the craft and business of screenwriting.

Robbin teaches Advanced Screenwriting at Columbia, and has also worked extensively as a one-on-one screenwriting coach and has produced numerous seminars at Northwestern University. The event is co-hosted by Cinema and Television Arts faculty member Brent Kado, who is the Executive Director of the Chicago Comedy Film Festival and the Chicago Independent Film (TV) Festival.

The event is sponsored by the Nickelodeon Writing Program, Women In Film & Television Vancouver, The Cinequest Screenplay Competition, Write Brothers Inc., and Moviemaker Magazine. There will be door prizes for event attendees, including a one year free subscription to Moviemaker Magazine and free script entries to the Cinequest Screenwriting and Vancouver International Women in Film Festival Screenplay Competitions, among other awards.
