2nd Annual Black Arts Festival

The second annual Black Arts Festival, featuring film, dance, music, design, fine art, and interdisciplinary mediums, runs Feb. 21 through the 23rd.

Columbia will host its second annual Black Arts Festival beginning Thursday, February 21. The Black Arts Festival is an affirming communal space for Columbia students, faculty, and alumni who identify within the African Diaspora to share their work in film, dance, music, design, fine art, spoken word, academic papers, and other mediums. Attendees will also engage with each other through roundtable discussions, audience interactions, and collaboration.

The Black Arts Festival is the first event of its kind since 1968. It is curated entirely by Black students and alumni and is free and open to the public. More history on the Black Arts Festival can be found here.
