Stuart Abelson Triennial Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

for continuing undergraduate students

The Stuart Abelson Triennial Scholarship was established to assist in defraying the cost of tuition and fees for an outstanding sophomore Photography student with demonstrated financial need. The renewable scholarship will be awarded to one student every three years.

Applications for the Stuart Abelson Triennial Scholarship will next be accepted for Fall 2019.

The Stuart Abelson Triennial Scholarship is open to:

  • Photography majors who will have completed no more than 30 credit hours by the end of the Spring semester
  • Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Students able to submit a portfolio of work for review by the Photography Department
  • Students who demonstrate financial need through a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Scholarship based on:
  • Academic merit
  • Financial need
  • Submitted portfolio

Amount of scholarship:
  • Up to $6,000 per year (half awarded in Fall and half awarded in Spring)
