Wherever great sound is being heard, recorded, or performed, chances are that you will run into an Audio Arts & Acoustics graduate. We specialize in live and recorded sound design, engineering and production/post-production; environmental and architectural acoustics for public, commercial and residential spaces; and design and management of audio installations.
You’ll choose courses that focus on the specific techniques, technologies and aesthetics of the music industry and/or of sound as an independent art form, and become familiar with both large-format recording studios and desktop environments. You’ll also study the science and physiology of sound and hearing.
Audio professionals are problem solvers, innovators and artists. Join the revolution.
This intensive, weeklong J-Term course offers singers, songwriters, rappers, producers and instrumentalists the opportunity to earn academic credit while working in close collaboration with music business and sound engineering faculty and guest artists/producers. You’ll form a band or performance project, create, record and produce your music in a studio setting, and perform your work on stage.
We’re happy you’re thinking of joining our creative community. We work hard to make our application process as simple and fast as possible, but should you run into any concerns, we're here to help at any time.
If you can’t make it to campus, don’t worry! We have a full schedule of events all across the U.S. and around the world.
