Photography students have access to a state-of-the-art ink jet print lab and lighting studio, as well as extensive darkrooms.

Digital Ink Jet Printer Lab
623 S. Wabash Ave., 9th Floor

Edit and print photo projects big and small in our digital lab. We are equipped with plenty of printers, scanners, and computers to complete all of your projects.

Available to students enrolled in Photography courses, our digital lab is your dedicated campus workspace. We always have staff on-hand to answer questions. Want to print a mural-sized image or print on vinyl? We can do that. Need specific gear? You can check it out.

Photography Darkrooms
600 S. Michigan Ave., 10th floor

Print black and white images in our fully outfitted photography darkrooms or experiment with Cyanotype, Van Dyke Brown, and liquid emulsion processes in the Experiment Techniques (ExTech) Lab. The photography darkrooms are open to students enrolled in a darkroom class or to students with previous darkroom experience.

Photography Lighting Studio
1104 S. Wabash Ave., Room 202

Open to students enrolled in a Photography course, the 6,800-square-foot lighting studio is fully equipped with industry-standard cameras, lighting equipment, and computers. Create custom backdrops and scenes, experiment with lighting, and bring your vision to life with the help of knowledgeable and experienced staff.
