Consistent with long-standing Columbia tradition, our faculty is drawn directly from the fashion world itself: industry professionals, artists and scholars who are active practitioners in their field of expertise and share their wealth of real-world experiences in the classroom. In Fashion Studies, you’ll work in collaboration with the faculty to co-author your course of study and actualize your career aspirations.
Teaching a variety of Fashion Industry-related courses, I seek to inform students about the context, complications and creative challenges that new professionals will encounter in the field. There are many, many opportunities for innovators and problem-solvers and I enjoy exploring those in the classroom and throughout Chicago.
