You’re automatically considered for Columbia College Chicago scholarships when you're admitted to the college.
We offer renewable scholarships that take into consideration academic achievements, artistic talent and financial need. Incoming freshmen and transfer students should take the following steps to be considered for all Columbia scholarships:
- Academic Achievement and Financial Need Scholarships: Submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with Columbia’s school code (001665).
- Artistic Talent Scholarships: Submit a digital portfolio or audition that demonstrates your best creative work. The submission deadline for portfolios and auditions is April 15.
Priority consideration for scholarships is given to admitted students who complete their FAFSA and submit a digital portfolio or audition before April 15. We award scholarships for as long as funds are available, and you will be notified of your total financial aid package, including Columbia scholarships, on your Financial Aid Award Letter.
External scholarships can come from anywhere—a source in your community, a parent’s employer, a professional organization or even your high school.
Info for Admitted and Continuing Students
Already have a Columbia scholarship? If you're an admitted or continuing student, you must review the terms of your scholarship and take steps to secure your funding.
Note: The scholarship review process occurs before your first term of enrollment at Columbia. Once you enroll, you are not automatically reviewed for scholarships. We encourage all continuing students to apply for donor-based scholarships.
