Music Department to Host Concert Benefitting Migrants
The Music Department at Columbia College Chicago has joined forces with award-winning actress and playwright Regina Taylor and her community-based project series Black Album Mixtape to hold a benefit concert entitled “There to Here, Which Way to Tomorrow.” The event will be held March 18, 7 p.m., at the Music Center at 1014 S. Michigan Ave. It will raise money for New Life Centers, an organization that supplies food and clothing to migrants. The concert is a live event and will be live streamed.

Regina Taylor will be the emcee at the event and the concert will feature performances of original songs and arrangements written for the Black Album Mixtape Project by Columbia College Chicago music ensembles, including those performing pop, rock, hip hop, fusion, R&B, gospel, and Latin music.
