This event is cosponsored by the Museum of Contemporary Photography as part of their exhibition John Baldessari: A Print Retrospective From The Collections Of Jordan D. Schnitzer And His Family Foundation. Lecture will take place in Columbia College Chicago's Ferguson Auditorium, 600 S. Michigan Ave., 1st Floor.

Printlandia Metropolis
October 1, 2010
5 - 7 pm

For a third year the artistic citizens of our fair city will be contributing to civic dialogue through the dispersal of visual imagery. An elite group of four has been selected from Printlandia's ever growing population to explore the impact of the urban environment on their work and the reciprocal impact that work can have on the urban environment. These highly skilled and highly trained artists will cull the inspiration of our expansive metropolis, from the dregs of the sewers to the tops of gleaming glass skyscrapers, to create limited edition fine art prints. Then with the friendly spirit of small town neighborliness these prints will be given away for free. Join us on October 1st, from 5 - 7 pm for a celebratory and revelatory reception where you can receive your free print. Only one per visitor and come early as they will go fast. Artist participating include Jeremy Cody, Eric Coleman, Julian Cox, and Thomas Lucas. This program is being presented as part of Chicago Artists Month.
