Chicago Dance Crash

February 19, 20 & 21, 2015  | 8:00PM

"Crash brings a compelling mixture of ballet, breakdancing, hip hop, martial arts and dangerous acrobatics into seamless alignment." - Chicago Tribune

“…a marvelously cohesive and physically fearless group.” – Chicago Sun-Times

Named the Readers Choice “Best Dance Company” in 2009 and one of the best companies to debut in the last two decades by NewCity, Chicago Dance Crash has risen to be a formidable stable in Chicago’s dance scene. The self-professed fusion company, directed by Jessica Deahr, merges street forms, hip-hop, breaking, martial arts, modern, jazz and ballet with a high degree of athleticism. Perhaps known best for their full evening dance-theater works – Tribulation and the Domination Squad (2005), Ghost Play (2006), Gotham City (2012), The Cotton Mouth Club (2013), Tron (2104) – and for their Keeper of The Floor dance battles, the Crash’s Dance Center premiere will be a program of mixed repertoire including works by Paul Christiano and Rich Ashworth, Jim Morrow, Nicholas Leichter and others.
