Chicago Fashion Foundation/Dorothy Bartman Allahverdian Scholarship

for continuing undergraduate students

The Chicago Fashion Foundation/Dorothy Bartman Allahverdian Scholarship was established to assist students with the tuition costs associated with participating in faculty-led experiences through the Fashion Studies Department.

 

Eligibility criteria:

  • Undergraduate and graduate students studying Fashion who plan to register for a faculty-led experience
  • Undergraduate students who complete a minimum of 60 credit hours, with a minimum of 12 credit hours completed at Columbia, by the application deadline
    • Students who complete fewer than 60 credit hours may be considered with the permission Fashion Studies faculty
  • Graduate students who complete at least 9 credit hours by the end of the Fall 2023 semester
    • Graduate students enrolled in a 0-credit hours thesis continuance course are not eligible
  • Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher
  • Students who secure the proper credentials for both domestic and international travel associated with these faculty-led experiences.
  • Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need through a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Award based on:
  • Merit
  • Financial need may be considered
Award amount:
  • Ranges $500 - $2,500
Notification of the award:
  • Recipients will be notified by email.
