To help parents best support the ongoing needs of their student, The Parent Podcast focuses each month on a specific college office or academic issue.  It is our pleasure to introduce this new resource to you.

Why is Columbia the right place for your child? How can you get involved in your child’s education? Find these answers and learn about Columbia through the stories of other parents.

Welcome!

A Message from President Warrick L. Carter

As President of this remarkable institution, I am proud to have your sons and daughters here. As you become more familiar with the college, its people and its programs, I invite you to help your child to make the most of what Columbia and the City of Chicago have to offer. Encourage your son or daughter to engage as fellow learners with faculty and the diverse body of fellow students they’ll meet here. Help them take advantage of the exceptional opportunities that Chicago’s vibrant arts and media community provides to expand their minds and imagination. This is a wonderful place, unlike almost any other in the world – and that’s why we have the audacity to set off on, well, audacious journeys. So again, welcome, hope to see you around the campus as you visit with us throughout the coming years.
