Biography

Adjunct Faculty, Fashion Studies Dept.  Teaching areas include Visual Merchandising, Design on Display workshops, Intro to Fashion Industry and Fashion Design Principles

Instructional Areas

Teaching a variety of Fashion Industry-related courses, I seek to inform students about the context, complications and creative challenges that new professionals will encounter in the field. There are many, many opportunities for innovators and problem-solvers and I enjoy exploring those in the classroom and throughout Chicago.

Creative Practice and Research Interests

My work as a retail design consultant, while quite varied in client messaging and scope, is focused on the needs of today's independent retailer in economically depressed communities and districts undergoing restoration and renaissance. I also explore discipline overlaps between theater design, visual merchandising and museum exhibitions as an ongoing discussion of experiential design and its value in academic and educational settings.
