Biography

I am Adjunct Faculty in the Fashion Studies Department in the teaching area of Fashion Business.

Professionally, I have a career in the sales, wholesale and marketing industries. Currently, I am a Regional Manager for a luxury Timepiece/Watch Company, managing the North Central U.S. and Canada.

My background in the retail industry, range from apparel to home goods, to fine jewelry to timepieces. I have line experience from branded labels to luxury lines. Positions range from Merchandise Manager - Buyer - Territory Manager - Regional Manager. Companies worked for include: JCPenney, Spiegel Catalog, Waterford/Wedgewood, Levi Strauss, Claires Boutiques and Movado Group, Inc.

I participate in platforms and forums that relate to the retail environment for the education of students and persons interested in the fashion and retail industry.

Also, I consult for numerous companies and educational establishments, whereas I develop, speak and facilitate workshops that focus on strategizing Career and Employment for businesses, individuals and professional growth.

As an instructor for college level curriculum institutions for over 20 years, I teach in the Fashion Studies and Marketing departments. Higher Education institutions include: The Illinois Institute of Art, International Academy of Merchandising & Design, University of Illinois Chicago and Columbia College Chicago.

Courses taught include: Math for Fashion, Stores, Fashion Business, Merchandise Management, Inventory & Control, Fashion Marketing, Consumer Business, Writing for Managers, Psychology of Dress, Principles of Marketing and other related courses.
