Biography

Kristi has spent the last 28 years as adjunct faculty in the Theatre Department teaching Acting, Movement, and Musical Theatre. During her time at Columbia she has had the opportunity to teach more than 15 different classes. Kristi is a proud member of AEA and SAG/AFTRA but the work that she is most proud of are her three children. She considers them to be her “biggest” and “best” productions of the last 25 years. Some highlights of her performance career include Princess Puffer in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Sissy in Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Rizzo in Grease, Frances Black in Light up the Sky, and Sorel Bliss in Hayfever. She is also very thankful for her long run as Barbra DeMarco in Shear Madness, her opportunity to work at the Steppenwolf Theatre in the ensemble of Slaughterhouse Five, an amazing summer season at Peninsula Players, and she loved voicing a character in the Veggie Tales. Kristi received her M.F.A. in Acting and Directing from the University of Arizona and her GL-CMA certification from Columbia College.
