Biography

Adjunct Instructor, English and Creative Writing, teaching the Science Fiction Writing class. Nebula Award winner, Hugo Award nominee, Theodore Sturgeon Award nominee, Rhysling Award nominee. Published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction (five cover stories); Amazing Stories, Year's Best SF 8, Nebula Awards Showcase 2003, etc. A novel and a story collection making the rounds to publishers. Also teaches Short Story Writing for Oakton Community College. Conducts numerous workshops and writers' groups. Book reviewer for Galaxy's Edge magazine. Freelance editing. B.A. in English/Writing from Columbia College Chicago, 1979; M.A. in English, Northwestern University, 1988.
