Lecture in Photography: Lesley A. Martin
The Museum of Contemporary Photography will host creative director and publisher of the Aperture Foundation’s PhotoBook Review, Lesley A. Martin, for a Lecture in Photography May 9 at the Ferguson Lecture Hall. This lecture is a part of the MoCP’s public programming for their current exhibition, In Their Own Form.
Martin’s writing on photography has appeared in Aperture, FOAM, Lay Flat, American Photo, and other publications. She is the editor of over seventy-five books of photography, including Tim Davis’ My Life in Politics, Rinko Kawauchi’s Illuminance, and others. She has curated several national and international photography exhibitions, and co-founded the Paris Photo—Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards in 2012. In 2014, she was appointed as a visiting critic to the Yale MFA Photography program.
More programming for In Their Own Form will continue throughout May and June. May 11 features an interactive celebration of science fiction in books and comics in conjunction with Manifest, and on June 12, the MoCP will unveil four new prints to be added to the Fine Print Program.Lecture in Photography: Lesley A.
