Columbia will host a walking tour of the Wabash Arts Corridor, highlighting over a dozen murals and works of art.

Columbia will host a walking tour of the Wabash Arts Corridor, one of the largest public collections of art in the country, on Thursday, September 6.

The Wabash Arts Corridor launched in 2013 with the mission to immerse students in creative spaces by transforming South Loop’s business district into a cultural hub for art. The corridor now spans across eight educational institutions, 19 galleries, and 14 performance spaces across ten city blocks. The art featured ranges from street-level visual works to large-scale building murals.

The walking tour will start from 623 S. Wabash Ave. and proceed south to 1104 S. Wabash. The tour will cover approximately 12 of the 44 finished murals.  Guest will be given unique perspectives on the artists and their creative process.
