Laurie Lawlor Publishes “Super Women: Six Scientists Who Changed the World”
Creative Writing adjunct faculty member Laurie Lawlor’s new book Super Women: Six Scientists Who Changed the World celebrates the scientific and social significance of six women who redefined history. Aimed for readers from age 8-12, the illustrated book seeks to educate and inspire young adults by giving insight into the lives, trials and accomplishments of women born in the early 20th century who struggled against prejudice to succeed in astronomy, archeology, biochemistry, mathematics and cartography.
Critics are hailing the book as a collection of “inspiring profiles of six 20th-century trailblazers.” Super Women: Six Scientists Who Changed the World (Holiday House) is available in print and ebook through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Indiebound.
