The Department of Creative Arts Therapies
The Department of Creative Arts Therapies at Columbia College Chicago offers four programs of study at the graduate level and one at the undergraduate level:

Graduate and undergraduate programs from multi‐disciplinary fields in the performing arts therapies, counseling psychology, arts in healthcare, and movement studies are offered through the progressive Department of Creative Arts Therapies (DCAT). Rooted in a 30 year history of dance/movement therapy, DCAT is guided by student‐centered practitioner‐scholar‐artists who value artistic excellence. DCAT educates students to become dynamic leaders in the professional application of the arts within a discernible scope of credentialed practice. Through respectful, culturally aware learning communities; innovative and integrative curricula; experiential engagement; and critical inquiry, students learn how to personally enhance the health and vitality of our local, national, and global communities.
