Introduction to Anatomy/Kinesiology Workshop
August 11-12th, 2014
Students will begin to understand the complexities of the human body through movement, drawing, writing, hands-on partner exercises, and guided moving meditation. Application emphasizes how basic physiological, anatomical, and kinesiological information deepens a movement practitioner's own embodiment and aids in facilitating a client's process of embodied understanding. This workshop serves as specialized study for dance/movement therapists and movement analysts (GL-CMA and MPACC) in training, and is also appropriate for anyone who is pursuing a in-depth experience of anatomy and kinesiology through movement of self and co-movers.
This workshop fulfills the Anatomy/Kinesiology admissions requirements for the MA program in Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling and the Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis!
