Current Student Resources
Our Student Handbook provides lots of details on how everything works -- from policies on student performances to information on how to get a locker, grading policies, places to eat nearby the dance center, and much more.
Our Dance Columbia site
Students can access the Dance Columbia site through MOODLE - our online learning platform where they can find materials on their courses. To log-on to MOODLE use your Oasis ID and password. There you can find lots of details -- from policies and procedures and the student handbook, to information on discounted tickets, announcements, media + technology resources, and our online forum. The site also links to resources across campus and the city -- including studios, listings and more.
Our Student Facebook Group
Current Dance Center students can find and share information with one another through our Facebook group -- where they can find out information on auditions, internships, announcements and what's happening around the city. You can also find out about workshops and events open to everyone - students across campus interested in dance in our Co-curricular Events facebook page.
Columbia College Chicago Library Research Guide
Our dance librarian on campus has culled resources on dance for students' research.
The Dance Resource Center, located behind the reception desk on the first floor of The Dance Center, holds many educational tools for dancers, including books, periodicals, articles, brochure and videos about the world of dance. Many of the resources in this library were generously funded by the Student Government Association. Please see the receptionist for a complete list of materials and resources. The Dance Resource Center was founded by Jenna Dillon, Student Government Association Dance Senator (2007-2009).
