Jane Jerardi provides media and technology support both to the Dance Center's performance season and the academic department, in addition to teaching as an adjunct faculty member in the program. Jane is an artist whose work spans the media of choreograpy, experimental performance, video, and installation. Her work has been presented by such spaces as Defibrillator Performance Gallery, 6018North, and Links Hall (in Chicago); Danspace Project at St. Mark's Church, the Joyce Soho, and the LUMEN Festival for Video and Performance (in New York); as well as Transformer, Dance Place, the Warehouse, Flashpoint Gallery, and GALA's Tivoli Theatre (in Washington, DC), among other venues. Her work has been commissioned by the Washington Performing Arts Society and has received support from the Creative Communities Fund and the DC Commmission on the Arts & Humanities.
Her interests include live media/digital performance, durational performance, public art, as well as the document and the archive. She holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. More information: www.janejerardi.com.
