Jane Cecil
Jane Cecil, MEd, is a lecturer in the Early Childhood Education program in the Education Department at Columbia College Chicago, where she teaches courses, advises, and mentors students who are in the Head Start BA Completion Program.
Ms. Cecil has been a teacher of young children, an education coordinator, and a director of early childhood education programs in both private and public schools, as well as in urban and rural contexts. She provides professional development to early childhood education professionals, both locally and nationally. Her common areas of focus are the learning environment, parent engagement, literacy, materials explorations, and elements of the Reggio Emilia Approach, among others.
