Frank Alletto

Literature

alleto pixFrank Alletto has been teaching Introduction to Literature at Columbia since 2005.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Literature and Communication from Benedictine University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1996.  Frank has been teaching English and Composition at Lyons Township High School in LaGrange for 14 years, and earned his Master’s Degree in Literature from Roosevelt University in 2003.  Immediately upon earning his degree, Frank began teaching Literature, Composition, and Liberal Studies courses at Roosevelt, and joined the Roosevelt HOSM Department as thesis advisor in 2005.  In 2006, Frank was nominated for the Golden Apple Award, a program that honors outstanding Chicago area high school teachers.  In 2008, Frank earned Roosevelt University’s Willett Award, given annually to an outstanding adjunct instructor in the Dept of Literature and Languages or the Dept of History, Art History, and Philosophy.  He hopes to continue to work for all three schools in an effort to truly understand what a high school student can expect at liberal arts and a private arts and media college.
