Kate received her B.A. from Indiana University and Masters in Business Administration from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Kate has worked extensively in the City of Chicago in different areas of the fashion business. Her experiences include visual merchandising, wholesale showroom management, market research, special events, promotions, and fashion styling. These experiences are the core of classroom activities to create a sense of relevancy among coursework and industry standards. Kate spearheaded the Fashion Studies department first on-line course offering and continues to pilot the use of new technologies in the learning environment. In addition to teaching, Kate is the Faculty Advisor for the Columbia College Fashion Association, the college’s largest student run organization.
