ADVISING FOR FASHION STUDIES MAJORS

Please visit your Faculty Advisor if you are a Fashion Studies major between 30-60 credit hours.  If you don’t fall within that range of credit hours, or you are not sure whether or not you need to see a College Advisor or Faculty Advisor, please check out the following:

Fashion Studies has added a new program for 2012!  If you are, interested in the new Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design, check this Advising Guide for requirements.  If you are a current BFA student, and are interested in changing, please review the guide and contact your Faculty Advisor to discuss a change.

Preparing to meet with your Faculty Advisor
Please review your Advising Guide, and come with a list of questions prepared.
If you were given a Fashion Business or Fashion Design Worksheet at a prior advising appointment, please keep that worksheet and bring with it you to your next meeting.

If Graduation is around the corner for you, first, congratulations!  Second, DO THIS:
You must apply for graduation one year before the start of your expected last semester at Columbia in order to get a timely graduation audit from the new Office of Degree Evaluation. If you expect to finish your BA or BFA requirements within a year, apply online immediately: complete your graduation application online through the "Apply for Graduation" link under the Students tab in your OASIS page.
