Bill has been a tenured member of the faculty since 1992. He began as a part-time instructor with the Photography Department in 1983. He then served as the Assistant Studio Manager. He went on to become the Manager of the Studio and was instrumental in revamping the Photography Internship Program and introduced the Internship Portfolio Review process before being appointed to a full-time faculty position. Bill served as the Acting Chair of Photography for the 2005-2006 academic year where he demonstrated an aptitude and deep interest in academic administration.
Bill has been a professional photographer for over 20 years bringing his passion and love for Dance to his work. His work has been widely exhibited, as well as published in The New York Times and Dance Magazine. In 2006 his first book of photographs, At Home, was published by The Center for American Places in collaboration with Columbia College Chicago.
