Iceland Airwaves Music Festival Audio Documentary

This past fall, eight Columbia College Chicago students from Radio, Arts, Entertainment and Media Management, Journalism and Audio Arts and Acoustics, traveled to Iceland to blog and produce an audio documentary about the annual Iceland Airwaves Music Festival.

Bordering the North Atlantic and Norwegian Sea, Iceland is a small country filled with beautiful landscapes and even more beautiful people. The capital city of Reykjavik is home to one of the world's most renowned music festivals. Since 1999 Iceland Airwaves Music Festival has provided a truly magical experience for music lovers and musicians alike.

From music to food to the Blue Lagoon Spa, the city is taken over by the music. From large auditoriums to the corners of small cafe's, live music spills throughout the city from every venue. Don't miss this amazing student documentary, which can be heard in it's entirety here.
