Evaluation and Assessment

The Evaluation and Assessment team conducts a variety of process- and program-oriented evaluation services in collaboration with faculty, departments, committees, and systems across the college. This evaluative work uses both formative and summative frames and employs a variety of methodologies depending on stakeholder needs. Our ultimate goal is to engage in meaningful activities that support and improve learning and teaching at Columbia.

Here are some of the ways the Office of Evaluation and Assessment can provide support:

• Create online surveys using our Gold-Level SurveyMonkey account
• Create surveys and tests that can be auto-tabulated with our scanning software
• Faciliate focus groups
• Transform data into visuals that emphasize patterns
