“Columbia is a jewel. It’s a diamond in the rough.”

Columbia is no longer an experiment. Columbia is a leader—in dance, music, film, photography, radio and TV. They also have a very unique student body—very dynamic, very diverse. That’s so important in today’s world.

The Media Production Center is remarkable. I’m not sure there’s anything like it in the country. Other universities are realizing that that’s where it’s at.

Columbia is becoming a very important resource for the city of Chicago. They’re starting to create some very interesting alumni that’s going to be good for this area, for Chicago.

Columbia is a jewel. It’s a diamond in the rough. So it’s very important for people to learn and appreciate what’s going on at Columbia because it’s quite unique, it’s quite diverse—it’s excellent. They are really achieving some tremendous goals. I think it’s an important place doing important things and very strong in a lot of areas, and that’s why one should give there.

I think you can learn a lot about the world through what’s going on at Columbia.

“Columbia is becoming a very important resource
for the city of Chicago.”
