Columbia College Chicago Press

The Columbia College Chicago Press publishes books in the arts and humanities that foster intellectual dialogue and advance Columbia College Chicago’s mission of authoring the culture of our time.

The Columbia College Chicago Press publishes works that contribute to the critical analysis of the arts, cultural studies, and humanities; illustrated works and artists’ monographs in all media, including visual studies of important social and cultural phenomena; works that contribute to urban studies; and books on arts education and on policies related to the arts in general. In addition, the CCCPress publishes books that champion Chicago and its regional culture as both the source and subject for rich engagement and analysis.

The Press publishes works produced by scholars, writers, photographers, and artists from both within and outside of the academy. The Columbia College Chicago Press had its beginning in the Center for American Places (established in 1990) and the CAP remains an imprint of the Columbia College Chicago Press.

The Press is a department of Columbia College Chicago, a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and serves as the College's press.
