Follett Graduate Merit Award
for incoming graduate students
The Follett Graduate Merit Award was established to assist with defraying the costs of tuition for incoming graduate students.
The Follett Graduate Merit Award is open to:
- Incoming graduate students who have a completed Admissions application file by the program deadline date
- International Students may be considered
Award based on:
Award amount:
- $12,100, $12,300 or $12,600 (varies by department). Half awarded in Fall semester, the other half in the Spring Semester. Award is renewable in most programs
Notification of the award:
- Recipients are selected based on merit by the department of choice during the admission cycle and notified at the time that admission to the program is offered. We regret that we are unable to give information
regarding the committee's decision over the telephone or by email.
No separate application is required:
- All incoming students are considered for the award through their completed Graduate Admissions application submitted by the program deadline date
- The Follett Graduate Award is renewable in most programs provided the recipient:
- is enrolled full-time each semester
- maintains a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average
- does not interrupt enrollment
- Award amount is $12,100, $12,300 or $12,600 (varies by department) half awarded in Fall semester, the other half in the Spring Semester.
- The Follett Graduate Award is applied toward tuition
- Award may not be used toward independent study abroad programs
- The rules governing other sources of financial aid (federal, state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply
