Music Department Scholarship

for incoming and continuing undergraduate students

The Music Department Scholarship was established to recognize the achievements of students in the Music Department and to assist Music majors in defraying the cost of tuition.

Deadlines to Apply:

We are no longer accepting applications for this year.

 

The Music Department Scholarship is open to:

  • Incoming freshmen and transfer students who intend Music as their area of study and plan to enter for the first time in the fall semester
  • Continuing students who are declared full-time Music majors
  • Students who are able to demonstrate accomplishments in music
  • Students who demonstrate financial need through a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Incoming freshmen and transfer students must have an Admissions application that is received by the Undergraduate Admissions Office by the scholarship deadline.   
  • Please Note: It is not necessary to have been accepted to Columbia College at the time you apply for this scholarship, though you must have a completed Undergraduate Admissions and FAFSA files received by Columbia by January 15, 2013.

Award based on:
  • Academic merit and financial need
  • Demonstration of talent

Award amount:
  • Amount varies

Notification of the award:
  • All applicants will be notified by the scholarship committee via US mail by March 31, 2013. We regret that we are unable to give information regarding the committee's decisions over the telephone or by email.
