Vivian Price Fashion Design Award
for continuing undergraduate students
The Vivian Price Fashion Design Award was established to help support outstanding Fashion Design students as they complete work on their senior project. The $500 award is intended to be used for fabric and supplies needed to complete the project.
The Vivian Price Fashion Design Award is open to:
- Full-time, undergraduate students majoring in Fashion Design
- Students who will have completed a minimum of 90 credit hours at Columbia by the end of the Fall semester
- Students who are currently enrolled in Thesis I
- Students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement
- Students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher

- $500 (awarded Spring 2013)
Notification of the award:
- All applicants will be notified by the scholarship committee by mail by December 15, 2012. We regret that we are unable to give information regarding the committee's decisions over the telephone or by email.
No separate application
- Students are considered through Fashion Studies faculty nomination by end of Fall 2012 term.
- Maximum award of this one-time scholarship is $500, awarded in Spring 2013
- The award is applied toward fabrics and supplies for the recipient's senior project
- Students must be enrolled as full-time students at the time of application and must maintain full-time enrollment during the 2012-13 academic year
- Recipients will be asked to submit a short biography describing their background and life goals that will be shared with donors; portions of the essay may also be used for publication
- The rules and regulations governing other sources of financial aid (federal, state, institutional and other grants, gifts, or loans) will apply
- Columbia College Chicago reserves the right to withhold the award in any year in which, at the sole discretion of the scholarship committee, suitable candidates cannot be found among applicants
