The Office of Asian/Asian-American Cultural Affairs is one of the offices in the Multicultural Affairs unit of Student Life. Its mission is to nurture Asian and Asian American students of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds and connect them to Columbia College Chicago's campus life.
By providing a space for identity issues, mentoring leadership skills and advocating on behalf of Asian students, the office seeks to support their personal and academic achievements, especially in their contributions to the arts and media. The office's year-long programming of Asian festivals like the Chinese New Year, Asian American Heritage Month, and other multicultural collaborations addresses Columbia's mission to promoting diversity in its student population.
