Urban Blight Solution: Urban Arts Corridor!
The Columbia College Chicago Wabash Arts Corridor

As part of long-term strategy to turn our South Loop campus into a dynamic arts corridor that
reflects the unbridled creativity of our campus and community, Columbia is soliciting proposals
from faculty and staff for transforming sections of our Wabash campus into a mosaic of creativity
for Manifest. We are calling on you to use this opportunity to explore existing ideas and develop
new ones as part of your spring curriculum including this year’s Critical Encounters theme, “Rights,
Radicals, and Revolutions,” or other relevant topics. We plan to develop a rich tapestry of images,
sounds, film, text, performance, music, and other creative expressions, that can animate the
parking garages, blank walls, vacant land and empty stores on Wabash between Congress and
Roosevelt during the week of Manifest, June 30–May 4, 2012.

Eligibility: Any Columbia College Chicago full and part-time faculty, staff and students during the spring 2012 semester. Locations to consider are listed on the writeable PDF application form. Click here to download.
