The Flower Drum Song Project

The legendary Broadway musical Flower Drum Song is going live in Chicago next summer!

Produced by the Center for Asian Arts and Media -- and featuring top Asian American talents from Broadway and Hollywood led by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang and veteran Broadway director/ choreographer Baayork Lee -- this production will be the first mainstream musical by and about Asian Americans ever produced in Chicago.

Want to give back in a small but powerful way to children during the holiday season? Then join the Center for Asian Arts and Media and the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) as we co-host NAAAP's 7th Annual Holiday Toy Drive!

How can you help?

Gift a toy! This year's recipient organizations are

Asian Human Services, Indo-American Center, and Vietnamese Association of Illinois

Bring UNWRAPPED toys and gifts to the event! Wish List details to come soon...

Volunteer! If you can attend the event, we are also looking for volunteers to help in a variety of roles. Please contact Michael Huang at NAAAP at mhuang1181@gmail.com for more details.

Donate! If you can't attend the event, you can make a monetary contribution that will be used to purchase toys.

With your leadership and dedication to community service, our hope is to build on the success NAAAP has had in previous years--including 2008, when its members were able to raise nearly $1,500 and donate 226 gifts and toys to local youngsters through Asian Youth Services, Korean American Women in Need (KAN-WIN), and the Pui Tak Center.
