The Center for Community Arts Partnerships (CCAP) at Columbia College Chicago transforms lives through the arts for thousands of Chicago's underserved children and youth. Through our arts-based programs and initiatives, we create models of learning that inspire innovation and creativity. This becomes increasingly vital as arts programs for children and youth are cut. Learning in the arts is crucial for a child's growth and development. We need your help to ensure that every child in Chicago has access to an education that includes high quality arts learning opportunities.
Your gift of any amount will help us continue to transform lives through the arts.
Rather than simply designing outreach projects, CCAP unites Columbia College Chicago with schools and communities to create arts-based programs and initiatives that transform how children learn. There are programs that support the students, teachers and parents of K-12 Chicago and Evanston Public Schools through its Community Schools, Project AIM, and TEAM initiatives. CCAP’s Urban Missions program creates important collaborations with community-based arts organizations throughout Chicago. Columbia College students and faculty are also provided with avenues for real world, hands-on learning, thanks to experiential-learning components developed through CCAP's partnership with the academic departments of the college. Through all of these programs and initiatives, CCAP helps improve student learning and engagement.
