1306 - Ten Years Later

Saturday, September 25, 2010 * 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.

"The Dance Center of Columbia College [is] one of the best places to see groundbreaking movement art in Chicago ... consistently compelling programs of contemporary dance" - Newcity, Chicago

"Chicago's Best Dance Value" - Chicago Reader, 2008

Ten years ago, The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago moved to its current home at 1306 South Michigan Avenue. In the fall of 2000, we opened our doors to the public with 1306, an ambitious celebratory event involving over 45 dance artists and companies. To mark the 10th Anniversary of our move, we are reprising the day-long event with the FREE day-long event with 1306 - Ten Years Later.

On September 25, 2010, The Dance Center will be jumping with FREE simultaneous events happening all day throughout our facility-in our studios, theater and other public spaces- highlighting the vitality of Chicago dance. More than 50 Chicago-area dancers, dance companies, choreographers and artists working in other disciplines will present simultaneous performances, classes, workshops, workshops, interactive events, site-specific work, media installations and multidisciplinary programs for all ages throughout the day.

Drop in for an hour...or stay all day. There is something for everybody.

ALL EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
NO TICKETS OR RESERVATIONS ARE NECESSARY.
