String Fest is a positive opportunity for string students between the ages of 4-18, and of a variety of levels to perform publicly. Each participant will be assigned to a recital according to level. Each recital will be approximately one hour in length and family and friends are invited to attend. Adjudicators will present participant evaluations during the recital and each performer will receive a certificate of accomplishment. An honors recital will be held on Saturday, March 7, at 4:00 pm.
String Fest will take place in the Recital Hall and selected teaching studios at Sherwood, The Community Music School at Columbia College Chicago, 1312 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago IL.
