Heather Williamson received her Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from Valparaiso University and her Master's Degree in Viola Performance from The Hartt School of Music. Major teachers include Andrew Smith, Steve Larson, and Helen Callus.
She is a registered Suzuki Violin teacher and has completed training courses through Book 7 with Edward Kreitman, Nancy Jackson, and Teri Einfeldt. Heather specializes in working with children as young as three years old but enjoys working with students of all ages. She currently teaches at The Suzuki Orff School of Music and the David Adler Music and Arts Center.
Heather is an active performer on both violin and viola and has been a member of the Northbrook Symphony, Northwest Indiana Symphony, New Britain Symphony, and Wallingford Symphony. She currently performs in the Chicago area with her string duo, Magnolia Strings.
