Bryan D. Sido Scholarship

for continuing undergraduate students

The Bryan D. Sido Scholarship fund was established to assist Music Business students who demonstrate passion, academic excellence and recognized commitment to the music business industry. The recipient’s academic interests should include live entertainment, band management, and/or talent identification.

Deadline: February 01, 2016

The Bryan D. Sido Scholarship is open to:

  • Full-time Music Business majors who have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours with at least 12 credit hours at Columbia at the time of application
  • Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Students who are able to demonstrate a passion for the music industry
  • Students who have a committment to pursuing a career in Music Business
  • Students who demonstrate financial need through a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Scholarship based on:

  • Ability to demonstrate passion and in-depth knowledge of the music business industry
  • Academic merit
  • Financial need


Scholarship Amount:

  • Maximum of $2,000 (half awarded in Fall and half awarded in Spring)


Notification of the scholarship:

  • Recipient will be notified by the scholarship committee by March 15, 2016
