Health Insurance
All full-time and part-time students with six or more credits are eligible to participate in a student accident and sickness insurance plan for a fee. Students enrolled in the accident and sickness plan may also join a dental insurance plan.
You can pick up insurance brochures and information from a Student Health and Support representative in the Dean of Student's Office at 623 S. Wabash Ave., Suite 301.

International Student Health Insurance
Health care in the U.S. can be quite complicated and
costly. A major accident or illness can create related expenses of $10,000 - $100,000 very quickly and very easily. If you do not have medical insurance to help cover some of the costs, you will be required to pay for these expenses.
With this in mind, Columbia College Chicago implemented a mandatory health insurance coverage requirement. All international students are eligible and are automatically enrolled in the International Student Accident and Illness plan offered through the Lewer Agency for Columbia College Chicago. This plan also offers discount dental and vision benefits provided by Careington.
Insured students may enroll their dependent spouse or children residing with them in the U.S. for an additional charge.
