Campus Card and Columbia Cash

Your Campus Card is an ID that identifies you as a Columbia student. You're encouraged to keep your card with you at all times when you're on Columbia's campus. You'll need your card to attend some on-campus events and to enter certain buildings, especially during breaks and throughout the Summer semester. Your card also is the key to many services that Columbia has to offer.

Campus Card Office Location and Hours

Our office is located at 600 S. Michigan Ave., Suite 303, Chicago, IL 60605. The Campus Card office is open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Getting Your Campus Card

  • How do I get my Campus Card?

As an incoming student, you'll have your ID photo taken during Orientation, and your Campus Card will be issued to you at the end of the day. If you did not receive a Campus Card during Orientation, you must visit the Campus Card Office during normal business hours. You're required to bring your MyColumbia ID number and a government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID) to receive a campus card.

Business hours vary throughout the year. Contact Columbia Central for more information.

  • What if I need to replace my card?

If your Campus Card is lost or stolen, contact the Campus Card Office immediately or visit the Online Card Office to suspend your card.

Please note that the replacement fee for lost, damaged, and stolen cards is $25. You may pay your replacement fee online with a credit card or debit card using this secure form. Please print the receipt before you come in as proof of payment. There is no service fee to use this service.

When you come in for a replacement, your Columbia Cash balance from your old card will be applied to your new one. To pick up your replacement, you must bring your MyColumbia ID number, a government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID), and payment receipt.

A new card will be issued at no charge for students who show proof of a legal name change or a new preferred name, or who have changed enrollment status (i.e., undergraduate to graduate).

  • How do I register my Campus Card?

To register your Campus Card, visit the Online Card Office
